Executive Board
The executive board is elected by the council every year at the state conference and serves a term of one year. To be eligible for the executive board, one must be a member of the current council (except for the president, which must be a member of the previous year's council as well) and show good moral character. The five positions on the board are:
- The President is the chief presiding officer at all LCCS meetings and activities, and is responsible for planning the agenda for the current term of the council and all individual meetings of LCCS. The President concludes all unfinished business generated by the conference and the council, submits the treasurer's proposed budget for the term to the council for approval, appoints chairpersons of all standing committees, acts as chief liaison between LCCS and LACCM (Louisiana Association of Catholic Campus Ministers), and provides an appropriate example of leadership and Christianity to the members of LCCS.
- The Vice President presides at all meetings of the council in the absence of the President and is the ex officio chairperson of all ad hoc committees.
- The Secretary is responsible for recording the minutes of all official LCCS meetings, compiling address lists, and assisting the director of publicity in circulation of these materials and other forms of correspondence.
- The Treasurer is responsible for all financial affairs, keeping accurate records, providing a financial report for each official council meeting, and submitting to the President the proposed budget for the council term.
- The Webmaster is responsible for creating and maintaining a web site to promote LCCS on the internet.
